The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray – available as a coupe or convertible – is one of the best used luxury sports cars on the market. This two-seater has a powerful V8 engine that also gets good fuel economy. Its interior is loaded with standard features that are only available as options in rivals. It’s held back from a higher ranking due to an average reliability rating. A Drive Mode Selector offers five different modes for handling and power management: Weather, Eco, Tour (default), Sport, and Track. They adjust throttle response, shift points (automatic models), steering effort, and suspension settings. Unlike some luxury sports car rivals, the Corvette Stingray delivers sporty driving dynamics and is comfortable on long drives. The available Z51 performance package upgrades the Corvette’s already good track aspects with an enhanced zero to 60 mph time, better cooling, and stronger brakes. Among the Z51’s other enhancements are larger front and rear tires, additional cooling equipment, bigger front brakes, high-speed stability equipment, and specific summer tires tuned for improved grip.
